What we do

The P4P Model

Women/girls collect plastic wastes from their local communities and bring it to P4P exchange points, where they receive eco-friendly sanitary pads made from banana fibers. The plastics are then recycled into raw materials, which fund the continued production/distribution of pads, making the entire process self-sustaining. This model not only provides essential health products but also promotes environmental stewardship.

Environmental Sustainability

Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond sanitary pads. By collecting and recycling plastic waste, P4P reduces plastic pollution that harms ecosystems, landfills, and marine life. We have collected/repurposed over 20 tons of plastic waste into raw materials that fuel our operations, all while creating cleaner communities.

Women’s Empowerment

Through P4P, thousands of women/girls have gained access to sustainable sanitary products that were once out of reach. We provide education on menstrual hygiene management, helping break taboos and ensuring girls don’t miss school or women skip work due to lack of pads. By putting women at the centre of our model, we are transforming lives and giving them the confidence to thrive.

Community Engagement

The heartbeat of P4P lies in the local communities we serve. From rural villages to urban slums, women’s groups, schools, and local leaders have embraced our model. Ummi Adamu Tata has this to say: “Before P4P, I had no consistent access to pads. Now, not only do I get pads, but my community is also cleaner, and I feel proud to be part of this change.”
